Oh the Love-

This weekend was Amanda's wedding. Amanda and I met in nursing school and developed a strong friendship. I was honored to be one of her bride's maids. It was my first time as a bride's maid and my first non-LDS wedding.

Amanda obviously looked stunning as a bride. We ordered our bride's maid dresses through David's bridal and we had to order them at least 12 weeks before the wedding. This wouldn't have been a big deal, but I was only 8 weeks pregnant when I ordered mine and on the wedding day, I was 22 weeks.

As I tried on my dress two weeks ago, it fit perfectly fine. On Friday (after I worked Thursday night and was little more bloated), I looked plain fat since it is not a maternity dress. I just bought few sizes bigger dress to accommodate the belly. It was pretty sad since it was a beautiful dress and I didn't want to look hideous.

Amanda's friend Darcy was the maid of honor and Christina, Megan and I were the bride's maids. Darcy's daughter Tara was the junior bride's maid. The scenery in Tubac was beautiful, but there were plenty of bugs that made smiling for pictures little more challenging.

Megan joined the army to do military nursing and she will be stationed in Washington D.C so this was a nice to chance to see her and meet her fabulous new boyfriend!

I just cant get over how cute my little boy is. I have to confess that I am little worried that our next child will not be as cute because how many adorable babies can we produce.:)

Since Saku was born, there aren't very many pictures of me (or Troy) since we like to take pictures of Saku. It is easier to take pictures of someone who looks adorable even with mud all over him, with bed head, naked, dirty, angry or sad. Obviously that is not the case for me. So since I was all prettied up, Troy wanted to pretend his wife is a model and took tons of pictures of me.

Amanda's cousin took care of our hair, which was nice since I am completely handicapped when it comes to doing my hair. We did our own make up, which was kind of funny since none of us wear tons of make up.

Saku was in heaven. There was tons of grass and he was allowed to run all around it. As we were walking down the aisle, he got so excited to see me. However, the moment that I passed him, he got so mad that mom wasn't coming to him. So Troy had to leave the ceremony since our child was crying. And we all know that Saku has a good volume cry.

I have to say that Christina is one of my favorite people in the world. We don't see each other too often, but I enjoy our friendship more and more after each time that we get to spend time together. After the rehearsal dinner on Friday night, we chatted in our hotel room until midnight while rest of the wedding party was in the bar. We admitted that we were probably the lamest bride's maids ever, but loved the chance of catching up.

And to make things better, James came to the wedding as well, so the little boys could play together. I think it took few minutes for James to get used to Saku. Saku was eager to give James "high fives", but he wasn't really sure about that. The boys are only five days apart and our #2 babies will be about 6 weeks apart.

We finally took some family pictures. And Saku even smiling at the camera. Thanks to Christina's amazing "Peek-A-Boo" skills.

Here is the beautiful LeSueur family.

The food was so delicious. I was I could have kept eating all night long; especially, since I didn't have to worry about fitting into my dress after the night. Saku had his share of salmon.

We got a chance to hit the dance floor. Phil and Christina got some sweet moves. Saku was in his element on the dance floor. He was dancing until 10:30 pm!! I am not joking. I was exhausted and he just kept dancing and dancing. We took some video, but really it doesn't do justice.

We also saw Naomi, who went to nursing school with us.

Amanda, thanks for a wonderful night. You were so beautiful and we loved sharing this special day with you. We sure love you!!

Let's Celebrate!!!!

This week finally arrived. I had requested time off for the whole week, so we could celebrate our 5 year anniversary and Troy's 30th birthday. I was so excited to get off from work on Friday morning. Since it was our anniversary, I stopped by the UMC cafeteria to pick up two donuts: one for me and one for Troy. I was little self-consiscous as I bought them because I didn't want people to stereotype me as a pregnant lady who is eating for two. Of course, I could easily eat two, three or even four donuts but that's not the point:)

That night, Troy cooked a delicious shrimp pasta dish and we enjoyed some oh so overpriced Coldstone ice cream.

I had planned a little family birthday celebration at Troy's parent's house on Saturday. It was a week early, but when a man turns 30, he deserves more than just one party. We enjoyed delicious enchiladas and home made salsa.

My handsome man looks just like the young fella I married five years ago!

Saku got his first official hair cut.
Thanks to Baby Einstein, the kid actually stayed still until the hair started to make him itch.

Sunday night we headed for our anniversary getaway to Sedona. Troy had booked a luxury bed and breakfast for us for two nights. Saku stayed with Grandma and Grandpa. It was his first overnight visit without us!

I was so excited to see this bed. It was going to be my friend for two nights when I wouldn't be awakened by a little boy's noises. Instead, I woke up due to a full bladder.

On Monday morning, we ate a three course gourmet breakfast cooked by a French chef. First course was granola, yogurt and fruit. Second course, blueberry and creamcheese crumble and third course was garlic chicken on organic greens. Kind of weird to have a salad for breakfast but it was good.

After our breakfast, we decided to go on a hike. We wanted to conquer the Cathedral Rock. In the beginning of the hike, I was feeling fresh, excited and confident that this hike wouldn't be a big deal even though belly has grown in the last few weeks.

The first two miles weren't bad, but the last half a mile was pretty much climbing up on the rocks. My legs were so tired and the high altitude didn't help either. I'm glad we had decided to bring lunch with us because that was the only thing that kept me going.

I was one happy woman when we reached the top. I was feeling pretty good about being 20 weeks pregnant and doing a hike that was labeled as "strenuous". Then we saw a guy who walked with a cane and he had made it to the top. Good humbling experience and reminder that I'm not that cool after all.

I was ready to take a nap. I told Troy that I wished that we were loaded and we could just order a helicopter to come and pick us up.

In the evening, we climbed on top another big rock and watched the sunset. Unfortunately, about 100 other people had read the some "tourist tip", so there was no making out as the sun was setting.

I have to say that I have one good looking man.

After the sunset, we enjoyed a nice romantic dinner at an Italian restaurant. My dish had pancetta, mushrooms and onions in some cream sauce. It probably had about 10,000 calories, but it was worth every one of them. This week's dr. appointment weight in will be fun after all this vacation/celebrating.

What a luxury it was to eat your meal without having a toddler throwing his food, and telling you he's "all done" every 5 seconds:)

Tuesday mornings breakfast menu started with the granola and fruit, second course was roasted pear with coffee cream. We would have preferred the blueberry crumble, but the chef redeemed himself with a roasted green chili and red pepper strata with bacon on the side. This chef was originally from Spain.

We went to check out the Oakcreek Canyon and enjoyed the cooler weather. We didn't get a chance to do another hike, so we just chilled in the by the creek for a while.

Before meeting up with Troy's parents and Saku, we had a chance to go to the temple and do some sealings.

It was very refreshing to get away for two days and just enjoy Troy's company. We loved the chance to spend time as a couple when our little boy wasn't dominating the daily routines or conversations. Many things have changed in the last five years, but our friendship and love for each other has only grown deeper and stronger.

Troy, Thanks for the wonderful five years. Good thing we have all eternity to be together!

Daddy Day Care for Anyone???

Troy is the "stay at home dad" for few hours a week as I sleep for 2-3 hours after a work night. This arrangement has been good for few reasons. First of all, Troy has such a respect for us, moms who take care of their kids all day long. After few hours of being the only parent awake, he is happy to have me wake up and share the parenting role. However, the more important change is the relationship between Troy and Saku. Yes, I realize that Saku is only 15 months, but they already have such a strong friendship. Sometimes Saku still prefers to come to me and Troy has jokingly (very much jokingly) said "I guess you are home too much because he prefers you over me again", but overall, Saku and Troy are the best of friends. They wrestle and run and make so much noise that you would think that we have five boys in the house. Hmmm, what if this one is a boy as well?? Our neighbors might start complaining:)

And this is why boys need dads!

While I am relaxed about many things nowadays, I don't think I would let him drink the mud water while taking a picture of it.

Saku wasn't too happy about the taste either.

Nothing like a muddy, wet boy to lighten up our day.

Are you serious?

The other night I was laying in my bed and thought to myself, I do not think there are enough blogs in this world and I don't think people get to hear about my stuff enough, I should start another blog.

Just kidding! Well, I'm kidding about the reasoning for starting a blog. I have a hard time balancing family updates and stories with Eevi's blah blah blah, so I created a blog that will be all about my blah blah blah while this will be the fun, cute blog about my family.

So if you ever wonder what I'm thinking, you can check it out at http://runsleepplayandlove.blogspot.com/. No pressure though. There are already too many blogs and not enough time, so mainly I will use the blog as a journal and an outlet for my feelings and opinions. But let's be honest, it never hurts to know that someone might care about your thoughts, experiences and feelings.
