Thunder Thighs

As a four month old, Eerika has a superhero name "thunder thighs". We haven't gone to the pediatrician since her two month check up so I don't know her official stats, but she seems to be a long baby to me. She isn't chubby except for her awesome thighs. They have some serious power in them.


This outfit is from Aunt Starla and I absolutely love the brown-white striped leggings that are part of the outfit. Eerika wore it on Mother's Day.

Eerika has found her hands and figured out that she can hold things. She can easily "play" with toys for half an hour as long as someone is willingT to keep giving her the toy after she drops it. She loves to chew on things and play with her pacifier.



To everyone's horror, she has developed the scream of the year when she is really upset and tired. Fortunately, she doesn't cry like that each time she cries, but it is high pitched and loud. We found out that it echoes beautifully in big, marbled halls such as the Palace of Versailles and Louvre.

We celebrated her fourth month mark by checking out Mona Lisa at the Louvre. During the fourth month of her life, she visited Utah, Finland and Paris.


She continues to be strong little girl. She hasn't been on the ground very much since we came to FInland so she hasn't rolled very much. She continues to want to sit and stand all the time. And we really don't get to cuddle with her since it isn't her thing.

She is a fun and friendly baby. And during the day, she is easy going and low maintenance. Because of all the traveling and time differences, her sleep has seriously suffered. She continues to wake up few times a night and has a rough time settling down at bed time. And because we are all sleeping close together while in Finland, I nurse her when she wakes up so she won't cry and wake up everyone.

She has napped in the true Finnish baby style in her stroller outside during the day and takes great naps. She continues to sleep on her belly and likes to be swaddled while sleeping. Her sleep doesn't make sense to me since she easily falls asleep in random places until bed time and then she struggles.



I love to see Eerika's personality emerge more and more each day. She loves her mom more than anything else, but I can tell that she gets excited about Saku and Troy as well.
