Few weeks ago, Eerika asked if she could get her ears pierced. We had never set an age requirement for it, so I said we would make a girls' date out of it.
She was so excited about all week as we had decided to get it done on Saturday. We finally got a chance to do it on Saturday evening after a busy day of Saku's soccer game, birthday party for Eerika, and swimming at Villa.
We went to Claire's and she was all bubbly and excited. Once we chose the butterfly ear rings and she sat down on the chair, she got more serious. They did her ears one at a time and she was quite shocked after the first one. No tears or even fidgeting but I could tell that she was surprised how much it had hurt her. But by the time, we left, she was all happy and excited again.
Since we found out that we would have another boy, Eerika sometimes feels sad about being the only girl so I reminded her how cool it is that she gets to go on one-on-one dates with me since she is the only girl.
