Yesterday Saku came home and dashed up stairs to play with his legos. Soon I heard Eerika sobbing and saying that Saku wanted to be by himself. He needed time to be alone after spending six and half hours in a classroom surrounded by other kids. Eerika wanted desperately to play with Saku as she had missed him.
I understood Saku's need for some space. But my heart ached for Eerika's need to be with her brother. Fortunately Saku was kind and they ended up building with legos while I put Aleksi down for a nap and then we all played legos for the next 45 minutes happily.
