Saku had a very persistent cough for days and since there was a whooping cough epidemic in our local elementary school.
Because of the cough, he had to wear a mask. Saku is a not a fan of things that restrict him, even socks bother him most of the time. However, he was very good about wearing the mask for the entire 45 minutes that we waited to be seen. Yes, we had an appointment that was scheduled 30 minutes before we arrived for the appointment and somehow we still waited for so long.
We saw the doctor and she said that he most likely had a minor sinus infection and minor ear infection. We left with a prescription for an antibiotic in case his ears kept bothering him. We never had to use the prescription. Saku was so good about doing what the doctor asked him and answered her questions clearly.
I had warned Saku that he might get a shot. He is not up to date on his vaccinations and I wondered if they would give him one. Well, he didn't get a shot but we still celebrated his bravery and enjoyed a lunch at Bruegger's Bagels and an ice cream treat at Baskin & Robins.
Eerika skipped her nap that day. Instead, the kids played nicely together for an hour or so. I decided that we should get out of the house so we went for a walk. Within 20 minutes, the both kids were asleep. I ended up walking for an hour and a half, which was a very relaxing.
